If you hate making gravy, this is for you. Anytime I roast, fry or saute anything, I have the drippings in the pan at the end. I realized if I just put the pan on the stove top, add 3 ingredients and boil it for a minute, I had a sauce. A gravy. I do this with everything now.
Heat pan of drippings on medium high.
Add:
2 c. Water (or use broth and omit the boullion)
2 T. Cornstarch
1 Boullion Cube or 1 t. Broth Base
Bring to a boil and cook until thickened, about 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
If you are making breakfast and need gravy for biscuits, use 2 T. Bacon Grease or the drippings from breakfast meats.
For vegetarians, you can saute Onions or other vegetables and use the drippings.
